About Us

Networking and Impact Events

Each semester, networking events and programs are determined based upon requests from employers/organizations, students, and faculty/staff who are interested in co-planning/hosting a program. If interested in partnering to coordinate an event, please contact Elizabeth Enck at eenck@uco.edu or (405) 974-3346.

Impact Speakers, Panels, and Networking Nights

We encourage professionals working in an impact field to volunteer to speak, participate on a panel, or host a networking event for your field or organization. Events are structured to allow for discussion of the presenter or panelist’s organization, role, and career path along with a chance to respond to student questions and promote any intern, volunteer, or employment opportunities.

Topics could include:

  • Impact Careers Overview
  • Corporate Impact Careers
  • Environmental Sustainability Careers
  • Clean Energy and Technology Careers
  • Nonprofit Management and Community Development Careers
  • Social Entrepreneurship Careers
  • Civic Engagement and Public Policy Careers
  • International Development Careers
  • Teaching Off the Beaten Path—Education Careers
  • Don’t Delay the Real World—Impact It! Service Corps and Fellowships Panel
  • Health Education and Policy Careers

Contact careers@uco.edu to discuss hosting or participating in a networking program.

Impact Career Treks

The Center for Impact Careers organizes student site visits to regional companies and organizations to highlight social or environmental sustainability initiatives of that organization. The hosting organization provides a tour and/or presentation regarding the innovative practices and sustainability initiatives and is encouraged to introduce any employment, intern or volunteer opportunities. If interested in arranging an Impact Career Trek to your site, contact careers@uco.edu.
